Eselle Dance offers dance tuition for girls
and boys of all ages from preschool to adult,
beginners to advanced.
Principal dance tutor, Shannon Leitch began dancing in 1980
and has taught dance since 1988.
She teaches in Ringwood in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, where she has lived
and brought up her family since 2000.
Shannon is a qualified preschool teacher and majored in dance at Melbourne University.
In her course her major focused on teaching, choreography and performance.
The structure of the classes consist of MAOD (Monash Academy of Dance) syllabus/curriculum,
in ballet and jazz, for technique. Eselle Dance also believes in the values of free dance
and movement, for musicality and creativity. Combined, these elements work together
to develop co-ordination and self-confidence, especially in the young.
Exams for the syllabus are not compulsory, but are encouraged in a very positive environment.
Pupils are not compared with other pupils but assessed on their own merits so as to gain
a real sense of achievement from their experience.
Dance lessons are conducted on Saturday mornings from 9.30am
at Kalinda Primary School, Multi Purpose Room, Kalinda Road, Ringwood.
We warmly welcome new pupils of all ages and levels, so please come along
and experience the magic and power of dance!
Please contact Eselle Dance for more details or to talk about enrolments.
